    About the role#

    The Indiana Farm Bureau public policy team advocates for Hoosier farmers and the state's agricultural interests. This internship provides exposure to both state and federal legislative efforts. You will work from our downtown Indianapolis headquarters from mid-May to mid-August 2027. This is a paid, part-time position requiring approximately 37.5 hours per week, with occasional after-hours events.

    What you'll do#

    • Advocate for Hoosier farmers and Indiana agriculture.
    • Assist individual farmers with local concerns.
    • Increase member engagement in public policy.
    • Analyze the impact of various policies on Indiana agriculture.

    What you'll need#

    • Current college student in your sophomore, junior, or senior year.
    • Strong interest in public policy and government.
    • Ability to communicate clearly with diverse audiences.
    • Solid time management and organizational skills.
    • Self-motivated, detail-oriented approach to work.
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
    • An agricultural background is preferred.
