About the role#
The Agronomic Services Intern supports our team with field scouting, plot maintenance, and customer events. You will work with the technical agronomy team, retail managers, and our marketing department. This role offers a broad overview of agronomic services through varied daily tasks across our regional footprint.
What you'll do#
- Collect tissue samples for the high yield program and customer requests.
- Maintain BRANDT Community Trials and other agronomy research plots.
- Place signage in plots and along road frontage throughout the trade area.
- Support the setup of field days and customer events.
- Assist the technical agronomy team with Precision Ag projects.
- Document field issues in monitoring tools for customer reports.
- Assist with seed returns and report field observations for marketing content.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a 4-year degree program in agronomy or an agriculture-related field, with preference for Juniors or Seniors.
- Proficiency in Excel and Word, with intermediate computer and software skills.
- Strong communication, writing, and data analysis skills.
- Ability to multitask and maintain attention to detail.
- Valid driver license with a clean record.
- Ability to work outdoors and lift 50 lbs.
