About the role#
As a Supply Chain Material Management Intern, you will work within the Operations department alongside the Materials Management team. You will assist with planning, purchasing, logistics, and business process analytics to help develop supply chain strategies that support business growth. This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship based in Maple Grove, Minnesota.
What you'll do#
- Support continuous improvement programs and streamline daily processes.
- Improve flow and signals to the production floor.
- Assist with core metrics in planning and identify warehouse optimization strategies for logistics.
- Create and launch a new tool for the materials management team.
- Identify and contribute to value improvement projects.
- Gain proficiency in SAP, Rapid Response, and other Enterprise Resource Planning software.
- Deliver two presentations to management, one halfway through the term and one at the conclusion.
What you'll need#
- Current rising junior or senior pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Supply Chain and Operations Management, or a related field with relevant experience.
- Ability to start on May 17th or May 24th, 2027, for a 12-week duration.
- Reliable transportation to and from the work site.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to organize complex data.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Preferred experience includes work in the medical device industry or supply chain, global sourcing, and materials management.
- Leadership experience, extracurricular involvement, or volunteer work are considered a plus.
