About the role#
This is a one-year clinical training position for a 4th-year Doctorate of Audiology student. You will work under the direction of a certified audiologist to gain experience in assessment, diagnosis, and patient management. The role is based in a hospital environment that covers the full scope of audiology practice.
What you'll do#
- Perform comprehensive audiologic evaluations for both pediatric and adult patients.
- Conduct diverse vestibular testing, including VNG, VEMP, Ecog, rotary chair, vHIT, and canalith repositioning.
- Perform Auditory Brainstem Response testing on infants.
- Evaluate, fit, and troubleshoot hearing aids for patients of all ages.
- Program and troubleshoot cochlear implants and osseointegrated devices.
- Work within an interdisciplinary team in an ENT clinic, including assisting with inpatients and sedated procedures.
- Support clinic efficiency by managing the hearing aid dispensary and coordinating with manufacturers.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least 2 years of a Doctorate of Audiology program.
- A Master's degree in Audiology or completion of 3 years of academic AuD coursework (or 2 years in an accelerated program).
- Eligibility for a Massachusetts Audiology license.
- Two letters of recommendation from clinical preceptors or professors.
- A personal statement.
- Strong interpersonal skills to advocate for patients and their families.
- An organized work style with the ability to maintain clear documentation.
- Basic computer proficiency for entering and interpreting patient data.

- Compensation: Paid position ($18.00 - $22.00 per hour).
