About the role#
This is a full-time, paid engineering internship focused on occupant safety for Global and Challenger aircraft. You will join the team in Dorval, Quebec for the Winter 2027 term. The role follows a hybrid work model and requires students currently pursuing a degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
What you'll do#
- Analyze cabin furnishings and systems to ensure they meet airworthiness requirements.
- Write design compliance reports.
- Collaborate with other engineering teams to provide guidance on certification requirements and occupant safety.
- Research technical issues, regulations, and guidance material.
- Perform interior evaluations of aircraft.
- Manage queries and resolve issues with Transport Canada and other regulatory authorities.
- Assist the Airworthiness group with daily tasks and deliverables.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a university program for mechanical or aerospace engineering.
- Ability to grasp complex engineering problems and develop creative solutions.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Self-motivation and the ability to work well within a team under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Leadership capabilities.
- Proficiency in French is considered an asset.
