About the role#
This role involves managing campus traffic and overseeing student crosswalks. You will support the Public Safety department by maintaining order and responding to immediate needs across campus.
What you'll do#
- Direct traffic and manage crosswalk safety as needed.
- Work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Handle incoming telephone calls and emails, dispatching information to the right units to ensure a prompt response.
- Communicate clearly with others to solve problems and manage different situations.
- Transmit vital information to Public Safety units, university departments, and outside agencies during both emergency and routine situations.
- Use departmental and university resources effectively.
- Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 100 lbs on occasion.
- Use Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, and web-based programs.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student at Bob Jones University or as a high school student at Bob Jones Academy.
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Strong communication skills.
- You may be asked to obtain CPR and First Aid certification.
- Please provide three references when you apply.

- This is a part-time, on-site role with a rolling term.
