About the role#
This internship offers hands-on experience in the logistics industry. You will work directly with our team to manage carrier relationships and handle freight operations. You will receive mentorship, participate in professional development sessions, and gain access to our proprietary technology. This is a performance-based role where you will receive feedback through regular appraisals and key performance indicators.
What you'll do#
- Make 85 cold calls daily to truckload carriers to secure shipping capacity.
- Negotiate rates and book loads to keep freight moving.
- Build and manage your own portfolio of carrier relationships.
- Provide service to partner carriers and internal stakeholders.
- Exceed performance targets for outbound calls, loads moved, and automation.
- Resolve service failures as they arise.
What you'll need#
- Current student status with an expected graduation date by August 2028.
- Ability to work full-time on-site throughout the summer.
- A strong work ethic and a competitive, entrepreneurial spirit.
- Resilience and the ability to maintain composure under pressure.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Proactive problem-solving abilities and a sense of urgency.
- Sales experience is helpful but not required.
