About the role#
BlueGrace Logistics is hiring Carrier Sales Interns for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Chicago. You will gain hands-on experience by performing the duties of a full-time Carrier Sales Representative. You will receive mentorship, participate in professional development sessions, and gain access to proprietary logistics technology.
What you'll do#
- Make 85 cold calls daily to truckload carriers to fulfill shipping commitments.
- Negotiate rates with carriers and book loads.
- Build and manage your own carrier portfolio.
- Provide service to partner carriers and internal stakeholders.
- Resolve service failures as they occur.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student with an expected graduation date by August 2028.
- Ability to work on-site and full-time throughout the summer.
- A gritty, self-starting attitude with a drive to succeed.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Resilience, persistence, and the ability to solve problems under pressure.
- An entrepreneurial and competitive spirit.
- Previous sales experience is helpful but not required.
