About the role#
The Commercial Planning and Marketing Intern supports the customer marketing team at Blount Fine Foods. You will assist with sales, trade, and marketing analyses that guide planning across key retailers. This role involves working with Sales, Marketing, and Category Management to streamline processes and provide administrative support for commercial priorities.
What you'll do#
- Compile sales, trade, and promotional data for weekly and monthly routines.
- Prepare customer meeting materials like scorecards, promotional calendars, and sell-in decks.
- Analyze promotional performance, pricing, and distribution changes.
- Research category trends, competitive activity, and consumer behavior.
- Summarize research findings into simple insights.
- Update category snapshots and competitive summaries.
- Develop marketing assets including sell sheets and product information.
- Coordinate the execution of marketing programs and track timelines.
- Organize content across internal systems like SharePoint and Teams.
- Maintain recurring reports and dashboards while ensuring data accuracy.
- Adhere to safety policies, GMPs, SOPs, and Allergen control programs.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program for Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and interpret bar graphs.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively in a team.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Valid driver’s license, personal automobile insurance, and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record screening.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site, full-time, paid internship based in Warren, Rhode Island.
- The role operates on a rolling term basis.
