About the role#
The Commercial Planning and Marketing Intern supports the customer marketing team by assisting with sales, trade, and marketing analyses. You will help compile data, prepare meeting materials, and evaluate promotional performance. This role involves cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Marketing, and Category Management to improve workflow efficiency and support commercial priorities.
What you'll do#
- Compile sales, trade, and promotional data for planning routines.
- Prepare materials for customer meetings, such as scorecards and promotional calendars.
- Analyze promotional performance, pricing, and distribution changes.
- Research category trends, competitive activity, and consumer behavior to summarize insights.
- Update category snapshots and consumer profiles.
- Develop marketing assets like sell sheets and product information updates.
- Coordinate the execution of marketing programs and track project timelines.
- Organize content across internal systems including SharePoint and Teams.
- Create and maintain recurring reports and dashboards.
- Validate data accuracy across systems and flag discrepancies.
- Complete required food safety paperwork and adhere to GMPs, SOPs, and allergen control programs.
What you'll need#
- Currently working towards a bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations including rates, ratios, percentages, and interpreting bar graphs.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- A valid driver’s license, personal automobile insurance, and the ability to pass a motor vehicle record screening.
- Eagerness to learn, problem-solving skills, and a positive attitude.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship based on-site in Warren, Rhode Island.
- The position operates on a rolling term.
