About the role#
As a Process Engineer Intern, you will support our drinking water treatment systems team. This full-time summer internship provides hands-on experience with infrastructure projects. You will contribute to engineering analyses and design tasks while working alongside professional engineers.
What you'll do#
- Support engineering analyses, report production, and design efforts.
- Prepare basic engineering calculations.
- Assist with the selection of basic equipment.
- Schedule project deliverables.
- Collect, organize, and evaluate project data.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ABET accredited university in a Chemical or Mechanical Engineering program.
- Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements, including background checks, drug screens, and motor vehicle records searches.
- Prior internship experience in water or drinking water is preferred.
- Knowledge of water and wastewater treatment engineering, chemical or physical principles, water chemistry, and hydraulics is a plus.
- Familiarity with P&ID and PFD documentation is preferred.
Location & details#
- This is a paid, full-time internship for Summer 2027.
- The role is based on-site at one of the following locations: Kansas City, MO; Tampa, FL; Los Angeles, CA; Irvine, CA; or Cary, NC.
