About the role#
Black & Veatch is hiring an Electrical Engineer Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid position based on-site in Overland Park, Kansas. You will work within the Integrated Facilities group to support infrastructure projects.
What you'll do#
- Assist in developing electrical engineering deliverables, including reports, drawings, specifications, and studies.
- Support engineering analyses, designs, and report production.
- Collaborate with other disciplines to schedule project deliverables.
- Use computer modeling to organize and evaluate data for system analysis.
- Manage project materials, documentation, and references.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ABET-accredited Electrical Engineering program.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Relevant coursework in Power Systems, Motors, Transformers, Renewable Energy, Power Delivery, or Three Phase Power Calculations.
- A solid understanding of engineering design principles and design guides.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to build effective working relationships.
- Clear written communication skills.
