About the role#
As an Electrical Engineer Intern in the Advanced Power Generation group, you will work on infrastructure projects. This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027 based in Cary, North Carolina. You will gain hands-on experience in a professional engineering environment.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the development of electrical engineering deliverables, including reports, drawings, specifications, and studies.
- Support engineering analyses, designs, and report production.
- Collaborate with other disciplines to schedule project deliverables.
- Organize and evaluate data using computer modeling to analyze systems.
- Manage project materials, references, and documentation.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ABET-accredited Electrical Engineering program.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Relevant coursework or knowledge in Power Systems, Motors, Transformers, Renewable Energy, Power Delivery, or Three Phase Power Calculations.
- An understanding of engineering design principles and design guides.
- Strong problem-solving skills and effective written communication.
- The ability to build professional relationships.
