About the role#
As an Electrical Engineer Intern in the Water and Wastewater sector, you will contribute to infrastructure projects while gaining hands-on experience at an employee-owned firm. This is a full-time, paid summer 2027 internship based in Overland Park, Kansas.
What you'll do#
- Assist in creating electrical engineering deliverables including reports, drawings, specifications, and studies.
- Support engineering analyses, designs, and production of technical reports.
- Work with other project disciplines to coordinate and schedule deliverables.
- Organize project materials, documentation, and references.
- Evaluate data and use computer modeling to analyze electrical systems.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ABET accredited Electrical Engineering program.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Completed coursework in areas such as Power Systems, Motors, Transformers, Renewable Energy, Power Delivery, or Three Phase Power Calculations.
- Familiarity with engineering design principles and design guides.
- Strong problem-solving skills, effective written communication, and the ability to build professional relationships.
