About the role#
As a Software Engineering Intern, you will join the engineering team to build product features across backend, frontend, or full-stack applications. You will gain hands-on experience developing production systems, improving performance and scalability, and collaborating with experienced engineers. This internship provides the opportunity to make meaningful contributions to a high-impact product while developing professional engineering skills.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to the development of backend, frontend, or full-stack applications using technologies such as Java, Spring Boot, TypeScript, React, and AWS.
- Write clean, testable, and efficient code following team standards and guidance from mentors.
- Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and daily standups to learn agile engineering practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including DevOps, QA, and Product, to ensure smooth deployment and operation of services.
- Research and propose ways to improve system reliability and developer productivity during the replatform effort.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field (including Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering).
- Proficiency in Java and an understanding of object-oriented design principles.
- Experience with TypeScript, React, or modern web development frameworks.
- Familiarity with AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, or RDS.
- Basic understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and distributed systems.
