About the role#
Applied Innovation is looking for a Software Solutions Intern to join our Network Connectivity department. You will help configure, maintain, and support our meter software agent environment. This role provides hands on experience in software solutions, troubleshooting, data analysis, and customer support.
What you'll do#
- Onboard external customers to our supported meter software agent.
- Maintain the meter environment by mapping customers and equipment, adding or removing records, and performing preventative maintenance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve meter collection issues for customers using an established process.
- Analyze reports for large accounts to determine if an issue is isolated to one device or impacts a broader fleet.
- Configure AR Data appliances to build technical experience.
- Maintain accurate documentation for historical and analytical purposes.
- Provide customers with helpful and friendly service.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program for Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to provide customer focused support by phone and email.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
- Willingness to learn new software, systems, and technical processes.
- Experience working with external customers or end users.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Location & details#
- This position is based on-site at our Grand Rapids, Michigan location.
- This is a part-time internship with flexible hours based on your availability.
