About the role#
Beacon Mobility is hiring a Shop Intern to join the team at DS Bus Lines in Columbia, Missouri. This is a paid, part-time internship that runs through the 2026-2027 school year. You will work on-site during the morning shift from 7am to 10am. This role offers mentorship, networking opportunities, and hands-on experience in the maintenance department.
What you'll do#
- Support the maintenance department with key initiatives.
- Follow a set agenda to learn necessary hands-on skills.
- Complete a detailed schedule of required training apprenticeship items.
- Help streamline workflows and solve real-world mechanical problems.
- Collaborate with teammates across different departments.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college degree program.
- A curious mindset and a willingness to learn.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- You are organized, reliable, and proactive.

- Location: Columbia, Missouri.
- Pay: $17 per hour.
- Schedule: AM shift from 7am to 10am.
