About the role#
BDO Canada is hiring a student for a Co-op or Intern position within the Personal Debt Solutions team in Barrie. This is a full-time, paid role running from January to April 2027. You will gain hands-on experience in insolvency and client service while working alongside our professional team.
What you'll do#
- Calculate and review income using technical knowledge from your studies.
- Analyze client data, review financial information, and process creditor claims to prepare reports.
- Assist with insolvency tasks and support team members.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with clients by responding to their requests.
- Communicate regularly with team members regarding project updates and any issues that arise.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accounting degree or diploma program.
- A commitment to providing high-quality client service.
- Proven leadership abilities and the initiative to seek out understanding.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Clear communication skills.

- Location: Barrie, Ontario.
- Term: Winter 2027 (January to April).
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Salary: $40,000 to $52,000 per year.
