About the role#
Baylor University is seeking a Teaching Assistant for the Economics department for the Fall 2026 term. This role supports faculty by assisting with academic instruction, grading, and general class support. This is a paid, part-time student worker position with a maximum of 10 hours per week.
What you'll do#
- Evaluate student work, including assignments with complex or open-ended questions using established rubrics.
- Proctor exams and provide general class assistance.
- Create educational or training materials and assist with developing departmental processes.
- Maintain a safe, supportive, and confidential environment for all students and faculty.
- Provide customer service by answering questions and resolving concerns for internal and external partners.
- Coordinate educational sessions, workshops, or webinars as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student, ideally majoring in Economics or Business Administration.
- Ability to work independently and manage project tasks.
- Willingness to improve software skills as required by the department.
- Ability to comply with all University policies and maintain regular, punctual attendance.
- Strong commitment to maintaining the confidentiality of all pertinent information.
