About the role#
This position supports the Urban REAP Director with community programming and outreach initiatives. You will contribute to the compost program, community weekend activities, and various educational programs. This is an off-campus role that requires reliable transportation. Candidates must be eligible for Federal Work-Study.
What you'll do#
- Create educational curriculum, materials, and videos for both online and onsite use.
- Plan and implement lesson plans for after-school programming for children and youth.
- Develop monthly community activities to help visitors engage with Urban REAP themes.
- Research resources to enhance educational materials.
- Manage regular social media posts and assist with general community outreach.
- Support daily Urban REAP operations and additional projects as needed.
What you'll need#
- A background in Environmental Studies, Ecology, Biology, Education, Public Health, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Spanish is preferred.
- Ability to manage tasks such as project planning, communication, and computer systems like Outlook and Drive.

- Location: Waco, Texas.
- Term: Fall 2026.
- Schedule: 10-20 hours per week with flexible hours.
- Compensation: $11.00 to $12.50 per hour.
