About the role#
The Student Success Center at Franklin Pierce University is hiring tutors for the 2026-2027 academic year. This is a paid, on-site position for current students. You will work 2 to 4 hours per week between Monday and Friday. Your goal is to provide academic and writing support to your peers outside of the classroom.
What you'll do#
- Help students understand course material and improve their study strategies.
- Assist peers as they prepare for upcoming exams and quizzes.
- Work with faculty to align your tutoring with course objectives.
- Identify students who need extra help and provide feedback on common academic challenges.
What you'll need#
- Strong academic performance in the courses you plan to tutor.
- A recommendation from a faculty member.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
- The ability to work independently and collaborate with instructors.
- Current enrollment as a student at Franklin Pierce University.
Location & details#
- Location: Rindge, New Hampshire.
- Schedule: Rolling basis, 2 to 4 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
- This position is open to students majoring in English, Communications, Psychology, History, or Sociology.
