About the role#
The Mayborn Museum is looking for a student to join the team as a Ticketing Desk Associate. You will serve as the first point of contact for museum guests, helping with daily operations and ensuring visitors have a positive experience. This is a paid position for the summer of 2026 with the possibility of ongoing work based on performance.
What you'll do#
- Greet and welcome museum visitors.
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries.
- Process ticket sales for general admission, classes, and memberships.
- Manage and reconcile cash register transactions.
- Provide general office support and assist with various projects as needed.
- Maintain files and reports while ensuring the confidentiality of information.
- Ensure all work complies with university policies and procedures.
What you'll need#

- Open availability, including weekends and throughout the summer.
- High attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
- A proactive mindset and the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
- A commitment to professionalism and adherence to university policies.
- Majors in Business Administration, Communications, or Psychology are encouraged to apply.
Location & details#
- Location: Waco, Texas.
- Work modality: On-site at the Mayborn Museum.
- Schedule: Minimum of ten hours per week. Shifts fall between 9:30am to 5pm on weekdays, 8:30am to 5pm on Saturdays, and 12:30pm to 5pm on Sundays.
- Pay rate: $10.00 per hour.
