About the role#
The Mayborn Museum is seeking a Student Worker to serve as a Ticketing Desk Associate. This role supports daily museum operations by acting as the first point of contact for visitors. This position is ideal for students pursuing degrees in Business Administration, Communications, or Psychology who are looking for a customer-facing role.
What you'll do#
- Greet and welcome museum visitors.
- Answer phone calls and assist with visitor inquiries.
- Process ticket sales for museum admission, classes, and memberships.
- Manage and reconcile cash register transactions with accuracy.
- Provide general office assistance, maintain files, and assist with various projects.
- Ensure compliance with University policies and procedures.

- Open availability, including weekends and the summer term.
- Commitment to maintaining regular, punctual attendance and confidentiality.
Location & details#
- Location: Waco, Texas.
- Work Modality: On-site at the Mayborn Museum.
- Term: Summer 2026, with the potential for ongoing employment based on performance.
- Schedule: Minimum of ten hours per week during museum operating hours (Monday through Friday, 9:30 am to 5:00 pm; Saturday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm; Sunday, 12:30 pm to 5:00 pm).
