Student Worker - Summer Mayborn Museum Ticketing Desk Associate - BC

About the role#

The Mayborn Museum is seeking a Student Worker to serve as a Ticketing Desk Associate. This role supports daily museum operations by providing front-line service to visitors and ensuring the efficient management of the ticketing area.

What you'll do#

• Greet and welcome museum visitors.
• Answer phone calls and assist callers with inquiries.
• Process ticket sales for museum admission, classes, and memberships.
• Manage and reconcile cash register transactions accurately.
• Provide general office assistance, maintain files and reports, and assist with various projects as needed.
• Ensure compliance with all University policies and procedures while maintaining confidentiality.

What you'll need#

• Strong customer service skills and a professional demeanor.
• Ability to multitask and handle detail-oriented tasks.
• A proactive mindset with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
• Open availability, including weekends and throughout the summer.
• A commitment to maintaining consistent and punctual attendance.
• Majors in Business Administration, Communications, or Psychology are preferred.

Location & details#

• Location: Mayborn Museum, Waco, Texas.
• Term: Summer 2026, with potential for ongoing employment based on performance.
• Schedule: Minimum of 10 hours per week, with shifts available Monday through Friday (9:30am–5pm), Saturday (8:30am–5pm), and Sunday (12:30pm–5pm).
• Status: Paid, part-time student position.
