About the role#
The Mayborn Museum is seeking a Student Worker to serve as a Ticketing Desk Associate. This role supports daily museum operations by providing front-line service to visitors and ensuring the efficient management of the ticketing area.
What you'll do#
- Greet and welcome museum visitors.
- Answer phone calls and assist callers with inquiries.
- Process ticket sales for museum admission, classes, and memberships.
- Manage and reconcile cash register transactions accurately.
- Provide general office assistance, maintain files and reports, and assist with various projects as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all University policies and procedures while maintaining confidentiality.
What you'll need#
- Strong customer service skills and a professional demeanor.
- Ability to multitask and handle detail-oriented tasks.
- A proactive mindset with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Open availability, including weekends and throughout the summer.
- A commitment to maintaining consistent and punctual attendance.
- Majors in Business Administration, Communications, or Psychology are preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: Mayborn Museum, Waco, Texas.
- Term: Summer 2026, with potential for ongoing employment based on performance.
- Schedule: Minimum of 10 hours per week, with shifts available Monday through Friday (9:30am–5pm), Saturday (8:30am–5pm), and Sunday (12:30pm–5pm).
- Status: Paid, part-time student position.
