About the role#
The International Social Media Ambassador supports the Undergraduate Admissions team by engaging prospective international students and their families. This role acts as a student representative to help others learn about the university and the international student experience. The position requires 8 hours of work per week.
What you'll do#
- Support international student recruitment efforts.
- Manage social media outreach and share approved content on platforms like WhatsApp and WeChat.
- Monitor messages and respond to routine inquiries from prospective students.
- Direct students to appropriate admissions resources.
- Assist with engagement initiatives and provide feedback on topics relevant to the international student experience.
- Support recruitment events and communications as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a Baylor University student.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Comfort using social media and messaging platforms.
- Professionalism when interacting with diverse audiences.
- Mandarin language proficiency is strongly preferred.

- Location: Hurd Welcome Center, Suite 216, Waco, Texas.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Term: Fall 2026, with rolling applications.
- Compensation: Paid at $12.00 per hour.
