About the role#
The Institutional Events Assistant supports the Logistics Strategist in the coordination and execution of campus events at Baylor University. This position involves managing logistics for both departmental and student organization events, ensuring all activities align with campus policies and procedures.
What you'll do#
- Coordinate event logistics for departmental and student organizations.
- Draft event agreements and maintain consistent communication with clients via phone and email.
- Develop room layouts using specialized software.
- Assist guests and clients with professionalism.
- Answer incoming calls and manage administrative tasks as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks independently.
- A commitment to outstanding customer service.
- Effective communication skills, specifically via phone and email.
- Experience with event logistics coordination.
- Preferred majors include Communications, Business Administration, Marketing, Psychology, or Public Health.
Location & details#
- Location: Waco, Texas (LL Sams Offices).
- Term: Fall 2026.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Minimum 12-15 hours per week between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm.
- Compensation: Paid position ($9.00 per hour).
