About the role#
Baylor University is hiring a Student Assistant for the HSB Department of Finance. This role supports the department by aiding faculty, the Office Manager, and students within the Finance program. You will perform administrative and clerical tasks while gaining experience in an office environment.
What you'll do#
- Provide general office and administrative support.
- Greet visitors and answer inquiries with professional customer service.
- Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, including mail and phone calls.
- Assist with document preparation, filing, and maintaining office records.
- Manage data entry, spreadsheets, and reports.
- Organize office supplies and common areas.
- Route and resolve questions or information requests.
- Maintain confidentiality of all department information.
- Assist with projects, events, and other tasks as assigned to support the mission of the university.
What you'll need#
- Must be a current Business School student.
- Ability to comply with all University policies.
- Consistent and punctual attendance.
Location & details#
- Location: Paul L. Foster Campus for Business & Innovation, Suite 320, Waco, Texas.
- Schedule: Flexible, up to 10 hours per week.
- Term: Rolling, ongoing employment.
- Compensation: $8.00 per hour.
