About the role#
This role supports health and wellness initiatives within the Athletic Performance department. You will help maintain recreational spaces and assist with programs that encourage an active lifestyle for the university community.
What you'll do#
- Assist with health and recreational programs, including intramural sports, group fitness, outdoor trips, and special events.
- Manage logistics for programs, such as scheduling facilities, reserving equipment, and handling participant registration.
- Partner with staff and other students to promote healthy living.
- Set up, break down, and maintain the weight room.
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors.
- Perform outreach to internal and external partners to share recreation and health resources.
- Attend meetings related to human health and recreation to contribute to departmental goals.
- Follow and enforce safety procedures.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student, preferably in Kinesiology.
- Ability to follow all University policies.
- Consistent and punctual attendance.
Location & details#
- Location: Foster Pavillion, Waco, Texas.
- Schedule: 20 hours per week.
- Pay: $10 per hour.
- Employment type: Part-time, on-site.
