About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience with enterprise network infrastructure. You will work at our headquarters in Bismarck, North Dakota, during the summer of 2027. This is a full-time, paid position running from approximately May 17, 2027, through August 20, 2027.
What you'll do#
- Maintain network hardware including routers, switches, wireless equipment, and telecom systems.
- Help implement security devices such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access control lists.
- Monitor network performance using protocol analyzers and trending tools to troubleshoot issues.
- Perform problem resolution to ensure system stability.
- Follow all company policies and programs related to Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) requirements.
What you'll need#
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- Current full-time enrollment in a two-year program (with one year completed) or a four-year program (with two years completed) in Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum GPA of 2.5.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with personal computers, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Outlook.
- Previous internship experience or relevant coursework and certifications are preferred.

- This role involves physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds and working with small hand tools. You may occasionally work in environments with dust, noise, or temperature variations.
