About the role#
Barnes Aerospace is hiring an Engineering Intern in Warren, Michigan. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position with a rolling start date. You will work alongside mentors and gain exposure to senior management through various group and individual activities.
What you'll do#
- Support projects and programs to meet business, customer, and manufacturing requirements.
- Coordinate new process techniques to improve job efficiencies.
- Create CAD models and production drawings using ANSI/ASME Y14.5 GD&T standards.
- Prepare Manufacturing Operation Sheets to communicate process details to operators.
- Ensure compliance with internal, federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Computer, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering.
- Ability to identify problems and develop solutions with a focus on the customer.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Unrestricted authorization to work in the USA.
- Ability to pass a federal DOT drug and alcohol test, including ongoing random testing.
