About the role#
This internship provides exposure to government reimbursement, revenue analysis, and financial management within a multi-state healthcare organization. You will gain insight into the complexities of financial operations across Baptist Memorial Health Care facilities in Tennessee, Mississippi, and Arkansas.
What you'll do#
- Conduct analysis and research on patient accounts to ensure accurate accounting.
- Assist with the preparation and filing of external governmental reports.
- Gather data to support month-end closing entries.
- Work on projects focused on revenue optimization.
- Complete assigned goals and objectives throughout the term.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Accounting degree program with substantial coursework completed, or status as a graduate student with an Accounting degree.
- Proficiency in spreadsheets and other software applications.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and effective time management.
- Interest in working for a mission-based community organization.
