About the role#
The Student Ambassador serves as a primary liaison between their university and an assigned Banfield Medical Director. This role focuses on promoting the mission and vision of Banfield Pet Hospital to peers and faculty while facilitating engagement between the company and the campus community.
What you'll do#
- Act as a representative for Banfield Pet Hospital in a professional manner.
- Promote awareness of the company mission and vision among the student body and faculty.
- Assist the Student Programs team in organizing campus visits, including reserving rooms, managing event details, and distributing materials.
- Participate in campus presentations and provide follow-up communication with students.
- Distribute flyers, posters, and other collateral as permitted by school policy.
- Inform the Student Programs team about relevant student activities, such as job fairs or open houses.
- Maintain consistent communication with the Student Programs team and the assigned Banfield Medical Director.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a veterinary medicine program at a School or College of Veterinary Medicine.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a focus on professional grammar and style.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and shift attention under distracting conditions.
- Systematic approach to assignments and a strong ability to identify and solve problems.
- Proficiency in basic mathematics, including the ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages.
- Competence in using computers and standard software applications.
- Ability to lift, carry, or move up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, or stooping.
Location & details#
- This role is based in Illinois and operates remotely.
- This is a part-time position.
- Compensation includes a $2,500 stipend, paid in two biannual tranches.
