The Student Ambassador serves as a liaison between the University of Illinois and an assigned Banfield Medical Director. This role focuses on promoting the mission and vision of Banfield Pet Hospital to fellow students and faculty, while facilitating collaboration between the company and the university.
What you'll do#
- Act as a primary point of contact between your university and the assigned Banfield Medical Director.
- Proactively share information about Banfield’s mission and vision with peers and faculty.
- Coordinate campus visits by managing logistics, including room reservations, catering, event materials, and announcements.
- Lead campus presentations and provide follow-up communication with students.
- Distribute company collateral, such as flyers and posters, in accordance with university vendor policies.
- Identify and inform the Student Programs team about relevant student activities, job fairs, and open houses.
- Maintain consistent communication with the Student Programs team and your assigned Medical Director.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a veterinary medicine program at a School or College of Veterinary Medicine.
- Exceptionally strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with high attention to detail.
- A systematic and organized approach to completing assignments.
- Proficiency in basic mathematics, including the ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages.
- Comfort using computers and standard software applications.
Location & details#
- Location: Remote, Illinois.
- Compensation: $2,500 stipend, paid in two biannual tranches.
- Term: Rolling.
- Employment type: Part-time.
