About the role#
Ball Corporation is seeking a Manufacturing Management Intern to join our team in Rome, Georgia. This 10-week internship offers students the chance to work alongside experienced leaders, explore plant operations, and contribute to projects that impact our facility. You will gain hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment while developing your leadership skills.
What you'll do#
- Learn how a manufacturing facility operates by diving into daily plant activities.
- Lead or support projects focused on safety, quality, efficiency, and cost performance.
- Analyze processes and recommend improvements through collaboration across departments.
- Attend professional development activities, including a session at our corporate headquarters.
- Meet regularly with plant leaders for check-ins and mentorship.
- Follow all plant safety practices, SOPs, and policies.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a bachelor's degree program for manufacturing, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field at an accredited 4-year college or university.
- Completion of at least one year of coursework.
- Interest in a manufacturing career and intent to enter the workforce after graduation.
- Ability to work in a 24/7 environment and handle 12-hour shifts on the plant floor when necessary.
- Eligibility to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
