About the role#
Baker Newman Noyes is hiring Tax and Audit Interns for the 2027 season. You will work alongside professionals to gain hands-on experience in accounting, tax preparation, and auditing. These roles are based in our Portsmouth, New Hampshire office.
What you'll do#
As a Tax Intern, you will prepare federal and state tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts, and limited liability companies. You will gather financial information, organize it into work papers, and use research tools to determine the proper treatment of client transactions.
As an Audit Intern, you will assist in audits for companies across various industries. You will analyze and test financial transactions to ensure proper reporting. Your work will also involve testing compliance with policies and evaluating the adequacy of internal controls.
What you'll need#
We require candidates to be pursuing a bachelor degree in accounting or a similar field. A minimum 3.0 GPA is required.
