About the role#
Baker Newman Noyes is hiring interns for Winter 2027 and Summer 2027. These are full-time, paid positions based on-site in Portland, Maine. You will work with professional teams to gain experience in either tax or audit functions.
What you'll do#
Tax interns prepare federal and state tax returns for individuals, trusts, partnerships, corporations, and limited liability companies. You will gather financial information, organize it into work papers, and use research tools to determine the treatment of client transactions.
Audit interns assist in conducting audits for medium and large companies. You will analyze and test financial transactions to verify proper reporting, ensure compliance with policies, and check the adequacy of internal controls.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a bachelor degree in accounting or a similar field.
- You maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA.
