About the role#
Baker Newman Noyes offers internship opportunities in both Tax and Audit for students pursuing a career in accounting. These full-time, paid positions provide hands-on experience working directly with professionals to support client services.
What you'll do#
Tax Interns focus on preparing federal and state tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, limited liability companies, and trusts. You will gather financial information, organize it into work papers, and use research tools to determine the proper treatment of client transactions.
Audit Interns assist in conducting audits for medium and large companies across various industries. You will analyze and test financial transactions to ensure proper reporting, policy compliance, and the effectiveness of internal controls.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program for accounting or a related field.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- An enthusiastic approach to professional work.
Location & details#
- Location: Boston, Massachusetts.
- Terms: Winter 2027 (January through April) for Tax; Summer 2027 for Audit.
- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $30 to $33 per hour.
