About the role#
This summer internship offers undergraduate students project experience within the Corporate Finance team. You will work on tasks across internal audit, tax, treasury, mergers and acquisitions, financial planning, and reporting. Participants learn core finance fundamentals, receive feedback from program managers, and build professional relationships with peers and leadership. Successful completion may provide a path to the Finance Leadership Development Program after graduation.
What you'll do#
- Partner with department analysts and directors to resolve financial issues.
- Apply practical skills to financial analysis, general accounting, and cost accounting.
- Assist with monthly and quarterly financial closings, projections, and the forecasting process.
- Learn about domestic and international operations, Avient customers, and go-to-market strategies.
- Interact with senior management and build relationships with team members across the globe.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related business field.
- Strong project management and organization skills.
- Ability to work well within a team.
- Prior internship experience is preferred but not required.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship located on-site in Avon Lake, Ohio.
- The term for this position is Summer 2027.
- This role does not offer visa sponsorship.
