About the role#
Teknor Apex Company is hiring a Finance Intern to join the Corporate FP&A team in Pawtucket. This role offers hands-on experience in corporate financial planning and analysis within the plastics manufacturing sector. You will work alongside experienced professionals on projects that build both technical and soft skills while supporting cross-functional decision-making.
What you'll do#
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes, including preparing and analyzing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Track and report on key performance indicators by comparing actual results to budgets and forecasts.
- Build and maintain PowerBI dashboards to visualize data and improve reporting efficiency.
- Perform routine and ad-hoc analysis to assist with business strategies and operational initiatives.
- Provide analytical support for benchmarking performance against industry trends and competitor activity.
- Assist the team with data reconciliation, presentations, and process improvements.
What you'll need#
- Current junior or senior status in a Bachelor’s degree program for Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and set priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with advanced functions preferred.
- Experience or coursework in Power BI or similar data visualization tools is preferred.
- Experience with financial reporting tools or ERP systems is a plus.
- Prior finance internship or relevant experience is a plus.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
