About the role#
The Customer Service Automation & Data Analytics Intern supports the Customer Experience team at Teknor Apex. You will help identify ways to improve efficiency using automation, artificial intelligence, and data management. This role involves working with Customer Service, Sales, Supply Chain, and IT to streamline administrative processes and improve data quality.
What you'll do#
- Perform data entry, validation, and cleanup to improve accuracy.
- Identify manual processes that can be improved through automation or AI.
- Develop and maintain automated workflows to reduce repetitive tasks.
- Organize and review customer and operational data across business systems.
- Analyze data to find trends, inconsistencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Create reports, dashboards, and documentation for the Customer Experience team.
- Collaborate with internal departments on continuous improvement projects.
- Document current processes and recommend efficiency updates.
- Test and validate automated solutions before they go live.
- Support special projects and administrative tasks as needed.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Junior, Senior, or graduate student status is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Interest in automation, artificial intelligence, and process improvement.
- Experience with Power BI, Power Automate, Microsoft Copilot, SQL, or Python is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.

- Employment type: Part-time, paid internship.
- Physical requirements: Ability to lift and carry up to 15 lbs and communicate clearly in person, by phone, and in virtual meetings.
