About the role#
The Procurement Intern supports strategic sourcing and sustainability efforts at Teknor Apex. You will work alongside teams in Finance, Supply Chain, Planning, Quality, and Operations on high-impact business projects. This role offers hands-on experience with global suppliers and exposure to supplier negotiations, procurement analytics, and continuous improvement initiatives.
What you'll do#
- Support strategic sourcing and sustainability projects.
- Assist with supplier management and performance analysis.
- Help with cost-saving initiatives and payment term optimization.
- Conduct market research and procurement analytics.
- Support tariff recovery efforts.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Chemical Engineering, Sustainability, Data Analytics, or Finance.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, XLOOKUP, formulas, and charts.
- Experience with AI tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Self-motivated and organized with attention to detail.
- Interest in procurement, sustainability, and manufacturing.

- Location: Pawtucket, Rhode Island.
- Term: Winter 2027.
- Modality: On-site.
- Status: Full-time, paid internship.
- Physical requirements: Must be able to lift and carry up to 15 lbs and maintain regular, punctual attendance. You must be 18 years of age or older.
