About the role#
As an AI Data Developer Intern on the Advanced Compliance Products team, you will help build and scale the data pipelines, models, and platform integrations that power compliance and analytics capabilities. You will work alongside data engineers, AI/ML engineers, and platform teams to design systems that process large volumes of telemetry. This role focuses on outcome-based problems where you will use AI tools to accelerate development and codebase comprehension.
What you'll do#
- Design, build, and maintain data pipelines for ingestion, validation, and transformation.
- Engineer features from raw signals to support scoring, classification, or ranking models.
- Iterate on model performance against benchmark datasets.
- Build and maintain data models, schemas, and versioned datasets.
- Evaluate model and pipeline output for accuracy, drift, and reliability.
- Implement monitoring and alerting to catch regressions.
- Investigate shared platform structures to identify coupling points and gaps.
- Design, prototype, or build proof-of-concept extensions or integrations.
- Document data pipeline architecture, data contracts, and technical decisions.
- Present findings, benchmarks, and recommendations to stakeholders.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a full-time undergraduate degree program with an expected graduation of April 2027 or later.
- Major in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL, including libraries such as pandas, Scikit-learn, and PySpark.
- Solid understanding of data engineering fundamentals, including ETL/ELT design, data validation, and schema design.
- Understanding of Machine Learning lifecycle workflows, model evaluation, and experimental design.
- Experience with Git, cloud environments, and distributed data processing.
- Hands-on experience using AI coding assistants like Cursor, Claude Code, or GitHub Copilot.
- Comfort working with ambiguous, outcome-based problems.
