About the role#
Auto-Owners Insurance is hiring a Claims Representative Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position based in St Cloud, Minnesota. You will work within our claims department to help individuals and businesses recover after a loss occurs.
What you'll do#
- Investigate claims by gathering facts through phone calls, mail, and on-site visits.
- Determine policy coverage and analyze legal liability.
- Evaluate the amount of loss and work toward claim resolution.
- Issue payments accurately and on time.
- Assist agents, policyholders, and other parties with their needs.
- Study insurance policies, endorsements, and forms to build your industry knowledge.
- Attend legal proceedings such as arbitrations, mediations, depositions, or trials if required.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in college, entering your junior or senior year.
- Pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Economics, or Finance.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to organize and interpret data while handling multiple assignments.
- A detail-oriented approach to resolving complex issues.
- Ability to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship.

- Compensation: $20.00 per hour plus bonus eligibility.
