About the role#
This is a co-op opportunity for an Electrical/I&C Engineering Student to join our team in Mississauga. You will gain hands-on experience by supporting the design and delivery of nuclear projects. You will work alongside experienced engineers and discipline leads to develop your technical and project coordination skills.
What you'll do#
- Assist engineers and discipline leads with daily engineering activities.
- Support conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design phases for nuclear electrical systems.
- Develop electrical engineering deliverables for nuclear and conventional systems while following project requirements and quality assurance programs.
- Coordinate tasks with multidisciplinary teams, including project management, document control, and field teams.
- Facilitate document reviews and help draft responses for requests for information.
- Attend technical and project coordination meetings to contribute to team discussions.
- Support engineering and project management tasks across various nuclear projects.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Electrical Engineering, Engineering Science, or Math program at an accredited Canadian university.
- Ability to apply principles of physics, mathematics, and engineering to solve practical problems.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Aptitude for using analytical and design tools such as ETAP, MATLAB, and MathCAD.
- Strong technical writing and communication skills for professional interactions.
