About the role#
This is a full-time, 4-month internship based in Hamilton, Ontario. You will join the Process Engineering department at the Fusion Pharmaceuticals site. The role runs from January to April 2027. You will work on-site to support the development and manufacturing of radioconjugates used in cancer treatment. You will also be qualified as a Nuclear Energy Worker to support operations within our licensed nuclear facilities.
What you'll do#
- Assist with routine checks, calibration coordination, and troubleshooting of unit operations and automation systems.
- Support process robustness and continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma tools.
- Author or revise controlled documents such as SOPs, batch records, and logbooks.
- Ensure production data is entered accurately and in accordance with Good Documentation Practices.
- Contribute to small-scale trials, protocol execution, and change control documentation for technology transfer.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate program for Science, Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Proficiency with basic tools like screwdrivers, wrenches, measurement tools, and digital multimeters.
- Experience with machine learning and AI applications.
- Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices and Good Documentation Practices.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience drafting technical notes or lab reports.
- Ability to structure problems, analyze root causes, and propose practical solutions.
- Commitment to safety, including a willingness to comply with radiation safety, aseptic handling, and EHS requirements.
- Prior regulated industry exposure or experience in a nuclear laboratory is an asset.

- Compensation: This is a paid position with an annual base salary range of 42,908.00 to 56,316.75 CAD.
