    About the role#

    Astranis is hiring a Guidance, Navigation, and Control Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid, on-site role based in San Francisco. Interns work directly with the Guidance, Navigation, and Control team to solve engineering problems on satellite missions.

    What you'll do#

    • Collaborate with the Guidance, Navigation, and Control team.
    • Design, build, and test satellite software and hardware.

    What you'll need#

    • Currently pursuing a B.S. in Computer Science, Physics, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering.
    • Coursework or focus on control systems, orbital mechanics, or spacecraft design.
    • Familiarity with control theory or estimation methods.
    • Experience with Python or C/C++.
    • Demonstrated ability to personally design, build, and test software or hardware from scratch.
    • Familiarity with spacecraft design and experience with low thrust trajectories are helpful.
    • U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residency, or refugee/asylee status is required to comply with export regulations.

    • Term: Summer 2027.
    • Compensation: $29.00 per hour.
