About the role#
As an Antenna Intern, you will join our payload team to design, build, and test antenna systems for our satellite missions. You will collaborate with mechanical, thermal, and payload system engineers to support both current and future satellite payloads. This is a full-time, 12-week hourly role.
What you'll do#
- Design high-performance communications antenna systems using industry-standard tools.
- Coordinate with vendors to design and procure antenna and RF components.
- Validate component performance through anechoic chamber testing.
- Co-design antenna systems alongside mechanical, structural, thermal, and payload engineering teams.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment at a four-year university in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
- A fundamental understanding of electromagnetics, including antenna theory, impedance matching, and transmission lines.
- Experience measuring components with vector network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and signal sources.
- Proficiency in design tools such as CST, HFSS, or TICRA.
- Ability to use Python or Matlab for scripting and solving engineering problems.
- A creative and innovative approach to solving engineering challenges.

- Term: Summer 2027.
- Pay: $29.00 per hour.
- This position requires U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residency, or protected individual status to comply with export regulations.
