About the role#
Astemo Ltd. is hiring a Quality Engineer Intern for our manufacturing facility in Rock Spring, Georgia. This is a part-time, paid internship. You will work under the guidance of our Quality team to gain practical experience in automotive quality management. The role involves supporting daily quality operations, data management, and process improvement projects.
What you'll do#
- Assist with research, data collection, and data entry tasks.
- Collaborate with quality engineers to interpret data and track key performance metrics.
- Participate in quality meetings, brainstorming sessions, and project reviews.
- Support quality testing, measurement activities, and the implementation of control measures.
- Conduct literature reviews and gather information for ongoing quality projects.
- Perform physical tasks related to engineering projects, such as equipment setup and maintenance.
- Follow safety guidelines and company policies to ensure compliance with quality and environmental standards.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- A strong interest in automotive quality and basic knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Enthusiasm for learning and taking on new challenges.
