About the role#
The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at Arizona State University provides scholarships and support to students from the African continent who are committed to community impact. As a Management Intern, you will work under the direction of the Assistant Director to support the daily operations and administration of the program. This role involves assisting with the scholarship application cycle, managing applicant communication, and contributing to broader program priorities.
What you'll do#
- Support the administration and coordination of program activities, projects, and daily operational needs.
- Manage the scholarship application cycle, including applicant tracking, responding to inquiries, and scheduling interviews.
- Assist with event planning, content development, and the facilitation of in-person and virtual program initiatives.
- Collaborate with staff on special projects and process improvements.
- Handle confidential information with discretion and maintain accurate records.
What you'll need#
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace applications such as Docs, Sheets, Forms, and Drive.
- Experience in customer service standards and practices.
- Working knowledge of basic program coordination or project management principles.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with students, staff, and faculty.
Location & details#
- Location: Tempe, Arizona.
- Work Modality: This is an on-site position requiring regular in-person work in a climate-controlled office setting.
- Compensation: $21 per hour.
- Schedule: This is a part-time position that may require occasional flexibility for program events and meetings.
