ABOR Intern

About the role#

The Arizona Board of Regents (ABOR) offers paid internship opportunities for students from Arizona’s public universities. These positions are designed to provide broad experience and mentorship to support academic development. Interns are expected to work between 15 and 19 hours per week. These roles are eligible for course credit in coordination with the student's academic unit.

What you'll do#

Depending on the specific intern track, responsibilities include:

• Events and Engagement: Support the planning and execution of convenings and outreach. Assist with logistics, including scheduling, materials, run-of-show, and on-site support.
• Government Affairs: Support policy and government affairs work through research, data entry, and writing. Organize complex information into clear, accessible formats.
• Graphic Design: Support visual storytelling and brand execution by developing graphics for digital and print use while maintaining visual identity consistency.
• Communications and Multimedia: Assist with content creation across social media, web, and digital channels, including writing, multimedia production, and content planning.

What you'll need#

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
• Strong AP-style writing skills.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• High attention to detail.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Preferred majors include Communications, Graphic Design, Political Science, or Business Administration.

• Location: Phoenix, Arizona.
• Work Modality: On-site at the Phoenix office.
• Compensation: $15.15 per hour.
• Term: Rolling basis.
