About the role#
The Graduate Student Support Coordinator for Online Programs provides comprehensive admissions, advising, and student services coordination for the School of Sustainability. This role supports graduate certificate and master's programs, specifically those focused on sustainable food systems. The position requires a focus on student success, program growth, and the interpretation of university policies for students, faculty, and staff.
What you'll do#
- Manage the graduate admissions process, including maintaining applicant records and entering decisions into university systems.
- Run and track online admissions, enrollment, and retention reports to identify improvement strategies.
- Respond to inquiries from prospective and current students via phone, email, and virtual platforms.
- Resolve student issues by collaborating with instructors, university staff, and relevant departments.
- Coordinate program materials, including fact sheets, handbooks, and marketing documentation.
- Participate in monthly College of Global Futures and graduate academic support meetings.
- Assist in the administration of graduate scholarships and conduct student audits to resolve registration holds.
What you'll need#
- A Bachelor's degree and three years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience coordinating student services for online degree programs.
- Proficiency with software for tracking student interest, admissions, and progress, such as Salesforce.
- Demonstrated ability to establish rapport with students, faculty, alumni, and administrators.
- Evidence of a master's degree in a related field is preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings or weekends, to accommodate online student schedules.
