About the role#
The Operations Intern will join our team in Medina, Ohio. You will gain exposure to various departments and work on projects to support our business objectives. This is a part-time, hourly position with a rolling schedule.
What you'll do#
- Cross-train across operations departments, including customer service, fulfillment, contractor relations, and network management.
- Partner with analysts and project teams to gain broad business exposure.
- Attend and contribute to weekly and monthly departmental meetings.
- Work in our call center to quote, book, dispatch, and monitor premium freight.
- Communicate with customers, contract carriers, and the ArcBest fleet via phone and email.
- Complete additional tasks and projects as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program, preferably in Supply Chain Management or Business Administration.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, is preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and solve problems.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a focus on active learning.
- Initiative, flexibility, and adaptability in a changing environment.
Location & details#
- Location: Medina, Ohio.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Part-time, generally between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm, averaging fewer than 30 hours per week.
- Travel: Minimal travel required (0-25%).
- Compensation: Paid hourly on a biweekly basis.
