About the role#
We are hiring a Wilson Dining Hall Student Worker to join our team in Huntsville. This is a full-time, on-site position with rolling start dates. You will support dining operations by preparing beverages, handling transactions, and maintaining a clean environment for our customers.
What you'll do#
- Operate the register and handle cash or credit card transactions.
- Greet customers and assist with their needs.
- Prepare and serve coffee, tea, and specialty beverages.
- Prepare and serve food items according to location standards.
- Balance cash drawers, complete cashier slips, and make deposits.
- Follow all cash handling policies and procedures.
- Set up and break down the coffee bar and service stations.
- Clean and sanitize your work area.
- Stock coolers, grab and go items, service ware, and condiments.
- Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
What you'll need#
- Basic math and counting skills.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Ability to read and communicate in English.
- Ability to follow recipes.
- Willingness to complete Food Handling Certification as required.
- Adherence to the assigned dress code.
- Previous experience in customer service, cash handling, or as a barista is preferred.
- This role involves physical tasks such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of standing or walking.
